A Message To Our Customers,

During these challenging and unprecedented times resulting from the spread of the coronavirus pandemic around the world, we wanted to take the time to inform everyone on the current state of business here at Rowand’s Reef. From the outset let us say that the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, clients, family and friends is our top priority during this time. We will continue to monitor all government communications and stay up to date on all of the latest news and information. As the situation changes and new information becomes available, we will continue to update you thorough our website and facebook page.

Retail Shop Status

As a consequence of the unprecedented scale and impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) we are following government advice and temporarily closing our Retail Shop with immediate effect.

During this closure we will continue to offer ‘by appointment only’ visits to our shop. You can contact us in advance by email to arrange a convenient time for us to open the shop and serve you. In doing this we will follow strict ‘social distancing’ and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. We will review this measure weekly based on updated government advice and inform you if this service changes or is removed.

Continuing to offer information and advice - we are still here to help!

Rowand’s Reef is prepared for temporary closure and we have put in place a solid working from home plan for the foreseeable future. This will allow our staff to continue to provide advice, answer questions, take sales and service enquiries. You can communicate with us for these services in multiple ways:

  • Email - we will monitor and reply to all emails daily

  • Facebook - we will reply to all messages daily and offer live chat service when possible.

  • Phone -  604 669 3483 - We will continue to answer phone calls made during standard store hours.

  • Website - requests for information or advice made through our website will be responded to daily

Online Shop Status

Rowand’s Reef Online Shop will remain open and continue to offer products through our website.

Products can be shipped directly to your home or indicated for in-store pickup. If you wish to pick-up your products in-store, we will communicate with you and arrange a convenient time for us to open the store for you to collect. In doing this we will follow strict ‘social distancing’ and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.

Diving Courses & Activities Status

Due to community pool and local park closures and in strictly adhering to the ‘social distancing’ guidelines, Rowand’s Reef is temporarily suspending all scheduled diving courses and activities.

We will review this measure weekly and update accordingly in regard to new information and government advice as the situation progresses.

Rowand’s Reef Response - keeping us all safe

Other measures Rowand’s Reef are currently taking in response to coronavirus include:

  • Constant hand washing and sanitizing of the store and products.

  • Limiting the number of customers and staff in the store at any one time

  • Suspending all returns and exchanges until after the situation is fully under control. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase for any required future returns or exchanges.

  • Placing restrictions on touching and trying on products.

  • Strictly adhering to ‘social distancing’ guidelines.

  • Following all guidance as set out in: Retail Counsel of Canada Best Practices

  • Following all guidance as set out in DAN (Divers Alert Network) Sanitation Guidelines

We are all in this together!

The scale and impact of the challenge presented to us by coronavirus is unprecedented. Whilst we are concerned and worried about the effect this global pandemic will have on our business and passion we understand the need now more than ever to work together and do whatever we need to to get through this as safely and as quickly as possible.

We are deeply privileged to be able to serve and work in such a fantastic and friendly community of divers and watersports enthusiasts that share our passion and love for scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, triathlon and other watersports. We have made amazing friends and connections during the numerous years Rowand’s Reef has been in business, and we believe that with our shared support we will make it through these turbulent times.

Our amazing staff and dive team are the lifeblood of Rowand’s Reef and we want to ensure that we take care of them to the best of our ability. We also want to ensure that we can continue to provide whatever services and help we can to our valued and appreciated customers.

Rowand’s Reef needs your continued support to help us do this. We understand that this is an incredibly challenging time for all of us and we hope that you continue to support us where you can and continue to keep us in mind for all of your diving, swimming and watersports needs.
