Step 1 - Knowledge Development
Broaden your knowledge of scuba equipment
Using PADI’s online eLearning platform to study independently at home, you’ll peek under the hood and learn how your gear works. Through animations and interactive diagrams, you’ll dive deeper into the mechanisms and functions of you’re scuba equipment.
Step 2 - Practical Training
Learn general maintenance and repairs
During 2 evening classes at Rowand’s Reef Store, get hands-on experience making equipment repairs and learn about different types of dive gear. Your instructor will also teach you how to properly clean and maintain gear, and how to create a save-a-dive kit.

This course is perfect for any diver (no matter how experienced) who wants to learn more about scuba diving equipment. You’ll get hands-on experience managing issues with gear, making repairs, and practicing general maintenance that will help prevent problems.
The main purpose of this course is to get you more comfortable working with your gear so that you’re more confident using it in the water and tending to any minor issues that may arise. We also want to give you the knowledge to make informed decisions about what gear to buy, understanding the benefits of different equipment and how they might suit specific diving requirements.
